2018 Summer Camp for Graduates of Kindergarten – 12 Years

11 Weeks from June 11 – August 25

Providence Preparatory School promises your child a summer filled with fun! Your child will have access to innovative enrichment activities and unique off-site experiences.

Weekly Themes for Summer 2018*:

Creepy Crawlers / Nature Explorers – Let’s get dirty and learn about the world around us! We will explore different insects, birds and take a trip to the Nature Museum.

Wild West – Howdy partner! Let’s take an adventure to sluice for gold and gems at Emerald Hollow Mine, and experience all of the fun that the Wild West has to offer!

Music and Sound – PPS is Alive with the sound of music! We will bring sound to life as we explore the scientific method and create our own instruments to use during our debut performance of the PPS Campers Band.

Campers to the Rescue – Explore the greenways, visit the fire and
police departments. What does it mean to be a hero? How can we help others?

Culinary Creators – Become a Foodie. Create a cookbook, cook meals from different cultures and tour a variety of restaurants.

How Things Work– Simple Machines! What makes things move and how do these simple machines make our lives easier? Design and build a robot. Visit Discovery Place.

Mad Scientist – It’s crazy, messy science! We will make goop, gak, oobleck and a volcano! We will have a visit from Rock-It Science, take a trip to Discovery Place and the Schiele Museum of Natural History.

Out of This World – Blast off! Build a rocket, eat astronaut food, explore gravity through STEAM Challenges and take a trip to the planetarium.

Future Picassos– We’ll bring out the Van Gogh and Monet in our campers. They’ll make pottery, participate in an art scavenger hunt around town and host an art auction showcasing their amazing creations!

Waterworks – How does water effect our daily live? We will explore the water cycle, properties of water and dive in to a variety of STEAM activities.

Islands of Adventure / End of Summer – End of Summer, Argh! Set off on an adventure to find the pirates treasure. Explore the Island and all of its mysteries. Visit Sealife in Concord.
